SUMMARY:The Wee Scottish Tour/Wizz 2025
DESCRIPTION:Our Scottish Wizz for 2025 will as usual avoid the school holiday dates to miss the crowds and enjoy the amazing quiet roads and beauty of the Highlands. \nThis is open to all the membership and will be a minimum of a seven (7) day trip;  five (5) in the Highlands with a day either side to travel up and back home. Most however take two days up and two days back home. \nPlease note that\, for the trips up and back the rider remains responsible for sourcing their own accommodation. \nOverall\, you can expect to be covering around 2500-2700 miles including travel from the Sussex/Surrey area\, planned and organised into manageable stages in true SMART tradition. \nWhilst we do ride on parts of the NC500 route\, we also discover the quieter and most spectacular roads around the Highlands as well as taking a trip to the Isle of Skye. \nThis trip is all about the riding and the amazing roads and scenery. The roads are grippy and retain most of that grip even should the worst happen and we suffer some rain ! \nStops will include the infamous John O’Groats\, various stunning stops along the north and west coasts and at least one stop on the Isle of Skye. \nAccommodation will be in Beauly\, near Inverness at The Priory Hotel\, on a dinner\, bed and breakfast basis\, so the only extras will be coffee and cake stops\, and also lunch stops once you have arrived. Oh and of course a beer in the evening! \nThe prices are as follows:\n£135 per person per night for single occupancy in a Double or Twin Room\n£105 per person per night sharing a Double or Twin Room \n  \nDates are expected to be September 24th – September 28th\, 2025 with 12 rooms already pre-booked. So if you want to bring a partner as pillion\, or of course on their own wheels\, get in there whilst the double rooms are available. DESCRIPTION:This is a tour/wizz that has become such a group favourite that we currently do it twice a year! Broadly speaking\, for 2025 we will repeat the previous successful format\, travelling to Wales on a Monday and returning on a Thursday\, with two full days exploring some of the very best roads in the UK. SUMMARY:France Tour (FULLY BOOKED)
DESCRIPTION:Commencing in the South of France in an area near to Valence. From here there will be daily rides of approx 250 miles taking in some stunning scenery and roads. \nI am going to book the hotel for the group and will be asking for non refundable deposits from all that are going. \nAll of the dates and times will be published and I will ask everyone to make their own way to France\, we will probably meet at Folkstone or Calais.  The plan is to ride halfway there and find your own hotel / B+ B en-route for the Saturday evening\, 26th. Making your way to the main hotel by the Sunday evening\, 27th. That’s when the tour officially starts. \nOn the return journey the same applies. We leave the hotel on the Friday morning and ride a distance towards Calais to get the Euro-tunnel. As usual we avoid the annual TT dates to miss the crowds and enjoy the amazing quiet roads and beauty of the isle. \nWe shall of course\, ride the infamous TT circuit\, at least once which is over 37 miles of superbly prepared and maintained road through every type of environment imaginable and guaranteed variety of weather conditions and temperatures all in one circuit. The Island is not just about the TT Circuit\, so we shall mostly be using the wide variety of roads the island offers\, especially those less seen and used with all the majestic scenery the island offers. \nThere are some classic bike museums on the island and so we plan to be visiting at least one of these during the trip too. \n\nAccommodation as previous years\, will be with the Arrandale hotel in Douglas\, with restaurants and bars within a short walk for our evening meals.\nHotel costs have been held at 2023 prices £45 ppn for Twin Sharing and £70 pn for a Single.  Board will be B&B.  As far as rooms are concerned\, we shall endeavour to meet your room preference\, but availability may mean compromises.  The 2024 Ferry prices are currently unpublished\, but anticipate they will be circa £130 return per bike.  We shall be departing from Liverpool and the return will be to either Liverpool or Heysham. DESCRIPTION:This is a tour/wizz that has become such a group favourite that we currently do it twice a year! Broadly speaking\, for 2023 we will repeat the previous successful format\, travelling to Wales on a Monday and returning on a Thursday\, with two full days exploring some of the very best roads in the UK. DESCRIPTION:Our first Wizz for 2023 and we kick it off in style with a visit to the Isle of Man. \nThis is open to all the membership and will be a five (5) day trip;  three (3) on the island with a day either side to travel up and back home.  Overall\, you can expect to be covering around 1300-1500 miles\, planned and organised into manageable stages in true SMART tradition.
