SUMMARY:Older Sports Bike Ride out
DESCRIPTION:And now something a little different…. On offer for your pleasure courtesy of Tim Bergin a steady jaunty ride to Goodwood. \n\nRIDE DETAILS\nSunday July 23rd 9:00am for a pre-ride briefing – Start: 09:30am.  Return anticipated around 3:30pm. \nFor those of you who have something that might best be described classic\, vintage or simply an old (pre-1995) Sports Bike\, you are invited to join us for a ride with a difference. \nWe are hoping to get a collection of old\, eclectic and unusual sports bikes of their era together for a spin over to Goodwood.  The more unusual the better.\neg:  KH1\, Ducati SS900\, Velocette Thruxton\, early Fireblade/GSXR etc \nThe ride will be a nice relaxing jaunt over for a spot of lunch at Goodwood and a leisurely ride home again.  Spanners to the ready! \nIf you have any Sports bike that pre-dates 1995 and fancy coming along\, you will be very welcome.  However numbers are likely limited (a Goodwood restriction) so book early. \nSo\, if you are interested\, then please reply to this mail with details of what you will be riding.  If you have any photos to share of your pride and joy\, then we would like to share those too on our webpage and or Facebook forum. \nMeeting Point Location:  Tulleys Farm\nLunch stop: Goodwood \n\nPlease bring your Membership Card with you and ensure you check the club website for any last minute amendments to this event –> Southern Riders Events \n** New and Recent members\, remember please you will need to have had your Initial Assessment Ride with an Instructor to attend this and other club riding activities \n\nREGISTRATION:\nPlease reply to this email. Or click on the blue Register Button. \n\nBack-Marker System\nOne of the riders will need to Back-Mark so any volunteer for this please advise the ride leader when you register for the ride.  If you have an orange Hi-Viz please bring it with you\, or one may be provided on the day\, or dependant on the size of the group an alternative marker may be agreed.\nPlease make sure you are fully conversant with the rules of the “BACK-MARKER SYSTEM“.  Following these correctly is vital to the smooth running of the day and reduces the risk of losing someone or everyone. Details of the BM system are on our Southernriders.org  website.   If you’re unsure on the day\, ask one of the attending Ride Leader. They will be more than happy to clarify any issues you have. \nHi-Viz \nIf you wear hi-viz\, please ensure it is not Orange as this is reserved for the ‘back-marker’ during our ride-outs.  We appreciate that you may normally wear an orange hi-viz whilst riding.  However\, some find it confusing when in the middle of the group to see two or more riders with the orange hi-viz.  So\, in an effort to avoid confusion and markers leaving their post prematurely ONLY the back-marker is to wear orange hi-viz.   Thank you
